Blame the media?

Check out the post-game interview on kansas.com with WSU men's basketball coach Gregg Marshall after the Shockers' nail-biter, overtime win over Evansville Wednesday night.

Read Bob Lutz's column that appeared on kansas.com and also in today's Eagle. What do you think?

  1. When I read Lutz's column, I didn't know this video was online. Now that I went back and watched the video and can hear Coach Marshall's tone, I see how mad he really was. While I understand that it's not good to boo a 22-6 team, I think Marshall needs to move on. Lutz had reason to write what he did about the Evansville loss, and he backed up. If Marshall wants to move past it, he needs to be the one to stop bringing it up, because most people have probably already forgotten.

  2. Not much I can add that Lutz or Chase didn't. I will say that the booing I heard seemed to be directed at the three guys in black & white stripes, not the team. And it was a lackluster game; there didn't seem to be the normal level of energy on the floor or from the crowd. And I think the crowd feeds directly off of what's happening on the court. It was good, however, to hear the noise level that was generated with Cox at the line with .3 on the clock in regulation. I felt hints of the NIT game against Florida State, or some of our classic matchups with Creighton.

  3. It sounds like Marshall really had his feelings hurt about the article. As a college coach Marshall should expect to see an article like that, especially when WSU lost the game that they did. It was an impportant game to the fans and the team. I think Marshall was frustrated by his team's lack of performance lately, and took it out on Lutz.
